Recently,
Congress passed the Consumer Product Safety Act (CPSIA) into law. The reason
for this law is to insure that products for children are safe, based on tests
affirming they comply with current federal regulations. All products
manufactured after November 12, 2008 must comply with a new set of safety
standards as it pertains mainly to lead, labeling, phthalates, and
flammability. The main
goal is to provide a higher level of safety for consumers. The guidelines for
safety are consistently changing. Puppet
Workshop is committed to complying, meeting, and exceeding all new and old
regulations as set forth by the CPSC. We will continue to be compliant with all
guidelines as they change in the future. Puppet
Workshop has been and is currently working on all COC (Certificate of
Conformity) forms for all items. These forms will be available to current
customers who are currently carrying our items in their stores, on their websites,
and in their catalogs. We appreciate your patience during these times as we
work to be ahead of the curve in this endeavor. Here are
some of the things we are and have been doing in regards to safety ·
Our products and product components
are tested only at approved testing laboratories. ·
Products are tested to standards
established by the CPSC and other state and federal agencies as applicable. ·
